Reaching out for help can be difficult at best. It takes strength to begin that search, especially when you may be struggling just to function in your everyday activities.
Psychological treatment is both art and science. Each client I work with deserves to be understood in the context of their own life and experiences. There is no “boiler plate” treatment plan at Friendly Psychology. The goal is to engage together as partners in your therapy. Whether you are seeking brief intervention, life coaching, or more significant treatment for issues such as anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, we will discuss options and determine best fit for you.
One important underlying principle that echos through out our work is that the past cannot be changed. Healing often begins with acceptance, understanding, and resolution of challenges in your life that may be the byproduct of your thoughts and feelings that were influenced by those difficult events.
I approach each individual as having a unique set of experiences and beliefs that interact with their environment and physical selves in expressing helpful or unhelpful ways of perceiving themselves, their relations, the world they live in. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, my clients experience positive changes in current and long-standing patterns or negative perceptions, release of traumatic memories stores in the body, and changes in thinking, that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
