Dr. Leigh Anne Randa is specialized in helping individuals to move through their grief processing and understand the tasks necessary to healing. Grief work often includes a spiritual component and I work with peoples existing religious or spiritual paradigm.

Tasks Associated with Morning

Dr. Randa works with patients initially to understand the tasks associated with mourning as outlined by J. William Worden. These tasks include: 1) Accepting the reality of the loss, 2) Processing the pain of grief, 3) Adjusting to a world without the deceased and 4) Finding an enduring connection with the deceased while moving forward with a new life.

Dr. Randa understands that these tasks are not sequential, nor are they necessarily limited to grief and bereavement related to loss of a loved one. These same tasks need to occur in dealing with loss associated with other life events such as divorce and relationship breakup, or loss of job/career.
